Ajou University is actively involved in battery research and development, focusing on next-generation energy storage, recycling, and battery management systems through its Department of Energy Systems Research and Department of Chemical Engineering. The university's battery-related work also includes next-generation batteries (Lithium-Oxygen), upcycling spent batteries, bacteria-powered batteries, battery management systems for energy storage (BESS), materials for lithium-sulfur separators, and battery-efficient software produced by the Computer Engineering department.
