CITY University OF NEW YORK's Energy Institute develops battery technologies including Zinc-MnO2 chemistries for non-toxic, high-performance energy storage and aluminum MoO3 nanowire-based cells. It collaborates with NASA via the NASA-CCNY Center for Advanced Batteries for Space to prototype batteries for space missions and commercializes these technologies through partners such as Urban Electric Power.
