COEP Technological University (formerly College of Engineering Pune) is actively involved in battery technology, focusing on procurement, research, and application for electric vehicle initiatives. It demonstrates procurement of Sealed Maintenance Free (SMF) batteries for UPS, development and use of Battery Management Systems (BMS) for EV projects, and conducting R&D in energy storage including lithium-ion batteries and battery packs for drones and other applications.
